DTC DETECTION LOGIC

DTC No.	CONSULT screen items (Trouble diagnosis content)	DTC Detection Condition
B20BE–15	BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR (Battery temperature sensor)	Diagnosis condition	When ignition switch is ON.
		Signal (terminal)	Battery temperature sensor signal
		Threshold	Battery temperature sensor circuit is shorted to battery or open.
		Diagnosis delay time	5 seconds or more.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Harness or connectors
- Battery current sensor input signal (temperature) circuit is shorted (Power)
- Battery current sensor input signal (temperature) circuit is open

Confirmation Procedure

PERFORM COMPONENT FUNCTION CHECK
1. CONSULT
  1. Ignition ON, and wait for 5 seconds or more.
  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “IPDM E/R”.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>
To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
YES >>
Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.
NO >>
Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK BATTERY TEMPERATURE INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT 1

Ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect battery current sensor connector and IPDM E/R connector.

Check the continuity between battery current sensor harness connector and IPDM E/R harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES >>

GO TO 2.

NO >>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK BATTERY TEMPERATURE INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT 2

Check the voltage between battery current sensor harness connector and ground.

YES >>

GO TO 3.

NO >>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR
1. Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>
Refer to Intermittent Incident. If the inspection result of the connector is normal then replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>
Replace battery current sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.
