DTC DETECTION LOGIC

DTC No.	CONSULT screen items (Trouble diagnosis content)	DTC Detection Condition
B1500–92	DOOR SATELLITE SENSOR (Door satellite sensor)	Diagnosis condition	When ignition switch is ON.
		Signal terminal	Front door satellite sensor signal
		Threshold	Malfunction of front door satellite sensor LH or RH
		Diagnosis delay time	2 seconds or more.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Connection malfunction or open circuit of harness and connector
Internal malfunction of front door satellite sensor LH or RH
Internal malfunction of air bag diagnosis sensor unit

DTC Confirmation Procedure

CHECK SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
1. CONSULT
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AIR BAG”.
  3. Check for DTC.
2. CONSULT
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Check the air bag warning lamp status. Refer to On Board Diagnosis Function.
  Note:
  SRS does not enter the diagnosis mode if no malfunction is detected in the user mode.
Is malfunctioning part detected?
YES >>
Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO >>
Inspection End.

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

Warning:

Before servicing, ignition switch OFF, disconnect battery negative terminal, and wait at least 3 minutes or more (to discharge backup capacitor).

Never use an unspecified tester or other measuring device.

CHECK HARNESS CONNECTOR
1. Check the harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>
GO TO 2.
NO >>
Replace harness connector.
CHECK WIRING HARNESS
1. Check the wiring harness externals.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>
GO TO 3.
NO >>
Replace wiring harness.
FRONT DOOR SATELLITE SENSOR LH AND RH
1. 1. Replace front door satellite sensor LH and RH. Refer to Removal and Installation - Front Door Satellite Sensor.
  2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.
Is DTC detected?
YES>>
GO TO 4.
NO>>
Inspection End.
REPLACE AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT
1. 1. Replace air bag diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
  2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.
Is DTC detected?
YES >>
GO TO 1.
NO >>
Inspection End.
