DESCRIPTION
DTC B00A0-22 OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS)
The OCS control unit is wired to the air bag diagnosis sensor unit. The air bag diagnosis sensor unit will monitor the OCS for failures and interruptions in communication between the OCS control unit and the air bag diagnosis sensor unit.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
CHECK SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
CONSULT
Ignition switch ON.
Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AIR BAG”.
Check for DTC.
Is the DTC detected?
YES>>(Current DTC) Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
YES>>(Past DTC) GO TO 2.
NO>>Inspection End.
ERASE SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
CONSULT
Erase the DTC.
Can the DTC be erased?
YES>>Inspection End.
NO>>Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
CHECK SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
CONSULT
Ignition switch ON.
Check the air bag warning lamp status. Refer to On Board Diagnosis Function.
SRS will not enter diagnosis mode if no malfunction is detected in user mode.
Is the DTC detected?
YES>>Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO>>Inspection End.
Dtc Diagnosis Procedure
Warning:
Before servicing, ignition switch OFF, disconnect battery negative terminal, and wait at least 3 minutes or more (to discharge backup capacitor).
Never use an unspecified tester or other measuring device.
CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE
Check battery voltage. Refer to Work Flow.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 2.
NO >>Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
PERFORM ZERO POINT RESET
Perform zero point reset. Refer to Description.
Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Description.
Is DTC detected?
YES >>GO TO 3.
NO >>Inspection End.
CHECK HARNESS CONNECTOR
Check the harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 4.
NO >>Replace harness connector.
CHECK WIRING HARNESS
Check the wiring harness externals.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 5.
NO >>Replace wiring harness.
REPLACE OCS CONTROL UNIT AND SENSORS
Replace the OCS control unit and sensors. Refer to Removal and Installation (OCS control unit) or Removal and Installation (OCS sensor).
Perform zero point reset. Refer to Description.
Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Description.
Is DTC detected?
YES >>GO TO 6.
NO >>Inspection End.
REPLACE AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT
Replace the air bag diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Description.
Is DTC detected?
YES>>GO TO 7.
NO>>Inspection End.
REPLACE PASSENGER SEAT CUSHION FRAME
Replace the passenger seat cushion frame. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.
Perform zero point reset. Refer to Description.
Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Description.
Is DTC detected?
YES >>GO TO 1.
NO >>Inspection End.
