5. |
Combination meter |
Mainly receives the following signals from the BCM via CAN communication:
Refer to Combination Meter (type A) or Combination Meter (type B) for detailed component location. |
|
6. |
Tire pressure sensor |
Refer to Tire Pressure Monitor. |
Bcm (tire Pressure Receiver)
Tire pressure receiver is integrated with the BCM.
The tire pressure receiver receives the tire pressure sensor signals transmitted by the tire pressure sensors in each wheel.
The BCM reads the tire pressure signal received by tire pressure receiver, and controls the low tire pressure warning lamp. The BCM also has a judgment function to detect a system malfunction.
The BCM uses CAN communication to Illuminate the low tire pressure warning lamp in the combination meter when tire pressure is lowered to less than the specified value or a system malfunction exists.
Information Display
The combination meter is installed in the instrument panel, ahead of the steering wheel.
A low tire pressure warning or flat tire warning is shown on the information display when they are transmitted from the BCM to the combination meter via CAN communication.

Tire Pressure Sensor
The tire pressure sensor is installed in each wheel.
The tire pressure sensor transmits the detected tire pressure and temperature signal in the form of a radio wave. The radio signal is received by the tire pressure receiver integrated with the BCM.
