Idle Start/Stop System
When a DTC is detected, the start/stop indicator lamp blinks slowly and the idle start/stop system operation is prohibited.
When ECM detects error while operating the idle start/stop system, ECM restarts the engine.
Confirmation Procedure
PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
Turn ignition switch ON.
Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
TESTING CONDITION:
Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V at idle.
>>GO TO 2.
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
Start engine and let it idle for at least 20 seconds.
Check DTC.
Witch DTC is detected?
YES >>Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO-1 >>To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO-2 >>Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
Dtc Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK CHARGE SYSTEM
Check charge system. Refer to Work Flow (With 165-DSS-5000P) or Work Flow (Without 165-DSS-5000P).
Witch DTC is detected?
YES >>INSPECTION END
NO >>Repair or replace the error-detected parts.

The fuel-filler door release for the Nissan Sentra is located below the instrument
panel. To open the fuel-filler door, pull the release lever firmly. To lock and
secure the fuel-filler door, simply close it until it is fully seated and latched.

REMOVAL
Remove engine under cover. Refer to EXT-16, "Exploded View".
Drain engine oil. Refer to LU-8, "Draining".
Remove the oil filter using Tool (A) as shown.
