1.	Inside key antenna (trunk room)	Inside key antenna (trunk room) detects whether Intelligent Key is inside the Nissan Sentra vehicle or not, and then transmits the signal to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Inside Key Antenna (Trunk Room).
2.	Rear door lock actuator RH	Rear door lock actuator locks/unlocks the rear door latch assembly.
3.	Door switches	Refer to Front Door Switch or Rear Door Switch.
4.	Front door request switch RH (if so equipped)	Front door request switch transmits door lock/unlock request signal to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Front Door Request Switch RH.
5.	Front door lock actuator RH	Front door lock actuator locks/unlocks the RH front door latch assembly.
6.	Power window and door lock/unlock switch RH	Refer to Door Lock and Unlock Switch (Passenger Side).
7.	Intelligent Key unit	Refer to Intelligent Key Unit.
8.	Horn (low)	IPDM E/R energizes the horn when horn chirp is required.
9.	Hood switch (if so equipped)	Hood switch transmits hood open/closed signal to the IPDM E/R.
10.	IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room)	IPDM E/R detects hood open/closed signal and controls horns when horn chirp is required. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
11.	Intelligent Key warning buzzer	Refer to Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer.
12.	Stop lamp switch	Stop lamp switch detects that the brake pedal is depressed, and transmits the signal to the BCM. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
13.	BCM (Body Control Module)	Controls the door lock system. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
14.	Push-button ignition switch	Push-button ignition switch has push switch inside which detects that push-button ignition switch is pressed, and then transmits ON/OFF signal to Intelligent Key unit. Intelligent Key unit changes the ignition switch position with the operation of push-button ignition switch. Intelligent Key unit maintains the ignition switch position status while push-button ignition switch is not operated. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
15.	Main power window and door lock/unlock switch	Refer to Door Lock and Unlock Switch (Driver Side).
16.	Outside key antenna (rear door RH)	Outside key antenna (rear door RH) detects whether Intelligent Key is outside the Nissan Sentra vehicle or not, and then transmits the signal to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Outside Key Antenna (Rear Door RH).
17.	Front door lock assembly LH	Refer to Front Door Lock Assembly LH.
18.	Front door request switch LH (if so equipped)	Front door request switch transmits door lock/unlock request signal to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Front Door Request Switch LH.
19.	Outside key antenna (rear door LH)	Outside key antenna (rear door LH) detects whether Intelligent Key is outside the Nissan Sentra vehicle or not, and then transmits the signal to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Outside Key Antenna (Rear Door LH).
20.	Rear door lock actuator LH	Rear door lock actuator locks/unlocks the rear door latch assembly.
21.	Trunk opener request switch (if so equipped)	Trunk opener request switch transmits trunk open request signal to the Intelligent Key unit.
22.	Trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch)	Refer to Trunk Lid Opener Assembly (Ajar Switch).
23.	Outside key antenna (rear bumper)	Outside key antenna (rear bumper) detects whether Intelligent Key is outside the Nissan Sentra vehicle or not, and then transmits the signal to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Outside Key Antenna (Rear Bumper).
24.	CVT shift selector (detent switch) (if so equipped)	CVT shift selector detects the shift lever status and transmits park position switch signal status to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
25.	Trunk lid opener switch	Trunk lid opener switch sends signal to BCM to trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) to release the trunk lid latch.

Intelligent Key Unit

Intelligent Key Unit

• Intelligent Key unit is installed behind the instrument panel right side.

• Intelligent Key Unit controls INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM (ENGINE START FUNCTION), NISSAN Nissan Sentra Vehicle IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-NATS [NVIS (NATS)] and VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM.

  

• Intelligent Key Unit performs the ID verification between Intelligent Key Unit and Intelligent Key when the Intelligent Key is carried into the detection area of inside key antenna, and push-button ignition switch is pressed. If the ID verification result is OK, ignition switch operation is available.

• Then, when the ignition switch is turned ON, Intelligent Key Unit performs ID verification between Intelligent Key Unit and ECM. If the ID verification result is OK, ECM can start engine.

• Door lock and unlock switch is integrated in the main power window and door lock/unlock switch.

  

• Door lock and unlock switch transmits door lock/unlock signal operation to BCM.

Door Lock and Unlock Switch (passenger Side)

• Door lock and unlock switch is integrated in the power window and door lock/unlock switch RH.

  

• Door lock and unlock switch transmits door lock/unlock signal operation to BCM.

Inside Key Antenna (trunk Room)

• Inside key antenna (trunk room) is installed in back side of rear seat seatback.

  

• Inside key antenna (trunk room) detects that Intelligent Key is within the inside detection area, and then transmits detection status to Intelligent Key unit.

Outside Key Antenna (rear Bumper)

• Outside key antenna (rear bumper) is installed in the rear of rear bumper.

  

• Outside key antenna (rear bumper) detects that Intelligent Key is within the outside detection area, and then transmits detection status to Intelligent Key unit. Request signal is transmitted simultaneously to Intelligent Key.

• Outside key antenna (rear door LH) is installed in driver side rear door.

  

• Outside key antenna (rear door LH) detects that Intelligent Key is within the outside detection area, and then transmits detection status to Intelligent Key unit. Request signal is transmitted simultaneously to Intelligent Key.

• Outside key antenna (rear door RH) is installed in passenger side rear door.

  

• Outside key antenna (rear door RH) detects that Intelligent Key is within the outside detection area, and then transmits detection status to Intelligent Key unit. Request signal is transmitted simultaneously to Intelligent Key.

Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer

Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer

• Intelligent Key warning buzzer is installed in the rear of front bumper on the right side.

  

• Intelligent Key warning buzzer warns the user, who is outside Nissan Sentra vehicle, of operation confirmation according to Intelligent Key operation and door request switch operation, or of an inappropriate operation.

• Front door request switch LH (1) is integrated in driver side outside handle.

  

• Front door request switch LH transmits door request switch signal to Intelligent Key unit.

• Front door request switch RH (1) is integrated in passenger side outside handle.

  

• Front door request switch RH transmits door request switch signal to Intelligent Key unit.

• Door switch is installed in the pillar.

  

• Door switch detects open/close status of door and transmits door switch signal to BCM.

Rear Door Switch

Rear Door Switch

• Door switch is installed in the pillar.

  

• Door switch detects open/close status of door and transmits door switch signal to BCM.

Front Door Lock Assembly (lh)

Front Door Lock Assembly (LH)

• Door lock actuator and unlock sensor are integrated in driver door lock assembly.

  

• Door lock actuator receives lock/unlock signal from BCM, and then locks/unlocks driver door.

• Only front door lock assembly (driver side) integrates unlock sensor. Unlock sensor transmits lock/unlock status of driver door to BCM.

Trunk Lid Opener Assembly (ajar Switch)

Trunk Lid Opener Assembly (Ajar Switch)

• Trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) integrates trunk lid opener actuator and trunk room lamp switch.

  

• Trunk lid opener actuator opens the trunk lid according to the trunk lid open signal from BCM.
