DTC Confirmation Procedure

  1. DTC CONFIRMATION

    1. CONSULT

      1. Erase DTC.

      2. Ignition switch OFF.

      3. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of "BCM", when 2 seconds or more has passed after the ignition switch is placed OFF (auto ACC status).

    Is DTC detected?

    YES >>

    Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

    NO >>

    To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

    NO >>

    Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

  1. CHECK COMBINATION SWITCH CIRCUIT SHORT TO BATTERY

      1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect combination switch connector and BCM connector M83.

      3. Check voltage between combination switch harness connector and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 2.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  2. PERFORM “DATA MONITOR” OF BCM (COMB SW)

    1. CONSULT

      Select “Data Monitor” mode of "BCM(COMB SW)" to check for any malfunctioning item. Refer to Symptom Table.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    Replace combination switch. Refer to Removal and Installation.

    NO >>

    Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
