Nissan Sentra Service Manual: ASCD Indicator

Component Function Check

1.CHECK ASCD INDICATOR FUNCTION

Check ASCD indicator under the following conditions.

ASCD INDICATOR

CONDITION

SPECIFICATION

CRUISE LAMP
  • Ignition switch: ON
  • MAIN switch: Pressed at the 1st time → at the 2nd time
ON → OFF
SET LAMP
  • MAIN switch: ON
  • When vehicle speed is between 38 km/h (24 MPH) and 160 km/h (100 MPH)
  • ASCD: Operating
ON
  • ASCD: Not operating
OFF

Is the inspection result normal? YES >> INSPECTION END

NO >> Proceed to EC-449, "Diagnosis Procedure".

Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK DTC

Check that DTC UXXXX is not displayed.

Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 2.

NO >> Perform trouble diagnosis for DTC UXXXX.

2.CHECK DTC WITH COMBINATION METER

Check DTC with combination meter. Refer to MWI-26, "DTC Index".

Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 3.

NO >> Repair or replace error-detected parts.

3.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Check intermittent incident. Refer to GI-39, "Intermittent Incident".

Is the inspection result normal? YES >> Replace combination meter. Refer to MWI-77, "Removal and Installation".

NO >> Repair or replace error-detected parts.
