Symptom Table
If ABS warning lamp and SLIP indicator lamp turn ON, perform self-diagnosis.
NOTE:
-
1: The ABS does not operate when the speed is 10 km/h (6 MPH) or less.
-
2: Under the following conditions, ABS is activated and vibration is felt when brake pedal is lightly depressed (just place a foot on it).
However, this is normal.

When shifting gears
-
When driving on slippery road

During cornering at high speed
-
When passing over bumps or grooves [approximately 50 mm (1.97 in) or more]

When pulling away just after starting engine [at approximately 10 km/h (6 MPH) or higher]

1.CHECK START
Check front and rear brake force distribution using a brake
tester.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 2
NO >> Check brake system.

Diagnosis procedure
1.Check connector
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
Check the terminals and connectors of the bcm for damage, bend and loose
connection (unit side and
connector side).

Operating tips
When the engine coolant temperature and
outside air temperature are low, the air flow
from the foot outlets may not operate for a
maximum of 150 seconds. However, this is
not a malfunction. After the coolant temperature
warms up, air flow from the foot outlets
will operate normally.
