Exploded View

Oil filler cap
Rocker cover protector

Refer to INSTALLATION

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

Remove intake manifold. Refer to EM-27, "Exploded View".
Remove rocker cover protector.
Remove ignition coils. Refer to EM-45, "Exploded View".

CAUTION:

Do not drop or shock ignition coil.
Do not disassemble ignition coil.

Move ignition harness aside.
Remove rocker cover.

Loosen bolts in reverse order shown.

Remove PCV valve and PCV hose, if necessary.
Remove rocker cover gasket from rocker cover.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Do not reuse O-rings.

Install the rocker cover gasket to rocker cover.

CAUTION:

Check the gasket is not dropped.

Install rocker cover.

Tighten bolts in two steps separately in numerical order as shown.

Step 1 : 1.96 NВ·m (0.20 kg-m, 17 in-lb)

Step 2 : 8.33 NВ·m (0.85 kg-m, 74 in-lb)

Installation of remaining components is in the reverse order of removal.

INSPECTION AFTER INSTALLATION

Check for engine oil leaks and engine coolant leaks with engine at operating temperature and running at idle.

WARNING:

Do not touch engine immediately after stopping as engine is extremely hot.
