When ignition switch is ON.

Front door satellite sensor LH is shorted to ground

Diagnosis delay time

2 seconds or more.

Confirmation Procedure
  1. CHECK SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT

    1. CONSULT

      1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AIR BAG”.

      3. Check for DTC.

    Is malfunctioning part detected?

    YES >>

    Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

    NO >>

    To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

    NO >>

    Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

  1. CHECK HARNESS CONNECTOR

    1. Check the harness connector for disconnection, looseness or damage.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 2.

    NO>>

    Damage: Replace malfunctioning harness and connector.

    NO>>

    Disconnection or looseness: Securely lock the connector.

  2. CHECK WIRING HARNESS

    1. Check the wiring harness externals.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 3.

    NO>>

    Replace malfunctioning harness and connector.

  3. PERFORM CONFIGURATION

      1. Perform configuration for air bag diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to Work Procedure.

      2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

    Is DTC detected?

    YES>>

    GO TO 4.

    NO>>

    Inspection End.

  4. REPLACE AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT

      1. Replace air bag diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

      2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

    Is DTC detected?

    YES>>

    GO TO 1.

    NO>>

    Inspection End.

  1. CHECK DTC

    1. Perform each inspection according to the displayed DTC.

    Which DTC is displayed?

    [B0091–86] >>

    GO TO 4.

    Other than the above >>

    GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK HARNESS CONNECTOR

    1. Check the harness connector for disconnection, looseness or damage.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 3.

    NO>>

    Damage: Replace malfunctioning harness and connector.

    NO>>

    Disconnection or looseness: Securely lock the connector.

  3. CHECK WIRING HARNESS

    1. Check the wiring harness externals.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 4.

    NO>>

    Replace malfunctioning harness and connector.

  4. REPLACE FRONT DOOR SATELLITE SENSOR LH

      1. Replace the front door satellite sensor LH. Refer to Removal and Installation - Front Door Satellite Sensor.

      2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

    Is DTC detected?

    YES>>

    GO TO 5.

    NO>>

    Inspection End.

  5. REPLACE AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT

      1. Replace air bag diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

      2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Confirmation Procedure.

    Is DTC detected?

    YES>>

    GO TO 1.

    NO>>

    Inspection End.
